when i finally got into navy blue earlier this year with "The Sword & The Soaring" i was completely blown away by the serene prodcution and sages introspective, poetic lyricism. the albums themes of struggle and acceptance resonated with me on a very deep level. i loved how cohesive the project felt and how focused sages lyrics where on most of the tracks.

really powerful and fun beat, bills hook and verse go super hard and i love how he switches the flow up towards the end. tellers verse also matches the energy really well and has some great bars. this album is looking very good so far.
how the fuck are you supposed to follow up a debut record as clean and consistent as Ramona? well, this albums answer is to go in the exact opposite direction: experimentation, imperfection and weird shit. and it isnt apologetic or reserved about this either. from the first second it blasts it in your face and just keeps running with it, throwing obscure vocal samples, weird interludes and wonky beats at you left and right.
