This album is where I feel Tyler starts to show the talent he displays in later albums, but you can tell hes still coming into his own. It maintains some the gruesome and abrasive lyrics and production of his earlier works, while also moving into a more refined and thought out style; combining both in songs like "Cowboy" and "Awkward" while also showing some of the more personal lyrics and deeper themes and concepts that draws in a lot of his modern fans on songs like ... read more
There's a couple misses and the album is pretty drawn out, but this album gives me a feeling I cant find anywhere else. Eclectic production meets electrifying slurred vocals with direct and unrefined, but emotionally impactful lyrics.
"Money never made me happy, but it never made me sad"
"What if I never make it back from this damn panic attack"
"I wanna kill everything and be nothing"

This is peak My Chemical Romance for me, from the passionate high energy songs like "To the End" and "I'm Not Okay" to the crushing, drawn out vocals of "The Ghost of You" the album maintains an intense emotional poignancy throughout.
Favorite Songs: The Ghost of You, Cemetery Drive, It's Not a Fashion Statement, It's a Deathwish
Crazy good for a 16yo, there's not a song on here that I don't enjoy. Not the best writing or production and somewhat repetitive at points, but the vibes are there throughout the entire mix-tape.
Favorite Songs: Saran Pack, Lemonade, Murder She Wrote
Incredibly unique, but incredibly Kanye at the same time. One of the last sparks of brilliance in the turbulent career of one of the best rappers to ever do it. Kid Cudi's role cant be understated either, his voice brings something that Kanye couldn't achieve on his own, especially on tracks like Reborn and Freeee. Also Kanyes verse on Cudi Montage is one of the most personally impactful verses on any of his projects for me.
