An album where Tyler insists that he is having fun, that he is off the chain, and that you should be too, but his performances and verses couldn't be more out of it. The production is decent for most of it, but Tyler's weaknesses as a rapper are too apparent on this album to ignore.
Really solid stuff here, I don't think most of the people who rated this album actually listened to the album. That being said, it is still pretty derivative of a ton of Mk.Gee/Dijon stuff, and the Druski skits were cringe. All in all, recommend for a decent listen
This is a weird album to me. It feels so perplexing that this album came from the same band that made 'For The First Time.' Their debut was one of the best debut albums in the modern rock timeline; a future classic that combines their obvious influences with their unique style and themes. This EP was great. Admittedly it has an awkward, interstitial transition from 'Music Has The Right To Children' to 'Geogaddi' and ultimately this feels like Boards going through the motions of a typical Boards album, but even Boards putting in 50% is stronger than most IDM artists putting in their all. The atmospheric textures, clever sampling, and semi-satirical nature of their music is still in full force.
