Linkin Park - Meteora
81

First full Linkin Park album experience after years of listening to their most popular songs in movies and on my mp3 player when I was younger. I felt I had to come back and actually give their projects a fair listen to get the full experience I missed out on before, and it was fantastic. The blend of metal and hip-hop sounds in this album sets the stage for a grim look at the reality of the early 2000s, littered with nationwide angst and fear post-911. Chester Bennington's vocals were ... read more

Supertramp - Breakfast in America

Both the production and vocals are absolutely glistening with a jazzy 70s charm.

Loyle Carner - hopefully !

Quite a personal album from Loyle Carner, showing a new perspective in fatherhood and accepting the change that comes along with it.

FKA twigs - EUSEXUA

Really captivating sound all throughout this album! It seems like a much more introspective mirror image of Charli XCX's BRAT, and I saw someone say Charli got us to the clubs, but FKA Twigs got us reflecting in it now; couldn't have said it better. The intro "Say" really pulled me in with its bouncy, catchy drums and a more pop-focused production, but the album went in a very different direction with its production and lyrical themes. Keshi chooses to focus on a very romantic motif throughout the album, which, while very sentimental at times, kind of gets old quick since it comprises most of the ... read more

ericdoa - why suffer for us?
77

A really enjoyable pop EP! I've only seen ericdoa's vocal work through the highly revered "Low Taper Fade" stream clip, but the production on this album is really great, combining elements from hip-hop, top-40 pop, and hyperpop, into a very cohesive EP. Although short, I think this format really worked for the songs making up this record, showcasing Eric's fantastic vocal range and catchy and heavily digitized production. My favorite song had to be "do ya?"
