Paramore - brand new eyes
95

I listened to the Paramore albums out of order, and this one was the last one in that binge of their work, and man, talk about saving the best for last.

Loved pretty much every single track on this one, and the ones that I didn't love, I really really liked, by the time I had started listening to this album I had pretty much decided that After Laughter was my favourite in their discography but this one blew me away and changed my mind by the third song, I think that this is an absolutely ... read more

Weezer - Pinkerton
87

Weezer's second studio album 'Pinkerton' is quite strange compared to mainstream music, but certainly not in a bad way, it experiments a lot with itself and doesn't seem to set any boundaries for itself beyond genre, all the songs on this album are truly great songs, 'Butterfly' is probably my personal favourite song from the album.

Weezer - Weezer (Blue Album)
80

Weezer's Weezer (aka The Blue Album) is an incredibly strong start to Weezer's ongoing career, the songs 'Buddy Holly', 'Say It Ain't So', 'Surf Wax America', 'Only In Dreams', and 'My Name Is Jonas' are some standout classics from this album, there really isn't a bad song on here.

Queen's News Of The World is an incredible album, it features, the fantastic duo of 'We Will Rock You' and 'We Are The Champions', and classics, 'Sheer Heart Attack' which seems to have been released a couple albums too late, and 'Spread Your Wings', this album has a much more raw sound compared to the previous twin albums named after the Marx Brothers films but it definitely sounds great.

Queen - A Day at the Races
94

A Day At The Races is essentially, more of A Night At The Opera, which is great! However I think it's actually better than it's predecessor, every song in the album is amazing, with 'Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy', 'You And I' and of course, the legendary 'Somebody To Love' being the highlights, Brian May's guitar in 'The Millionaire Waltz' is also great to listen to as is the whole album.

Queen - A Night at the Opera
92

A Night At The Opera is a perfect album, not my favourite album, but also certainly not far off, including classics such as 'Love Of My Life', 'You're My Best Friend', 'I'm In Love With My Car' , my personal favourite off the album ''39' and of course, 'Bohemian Rhapsody' Freddie Mercury's magnum opus, a song so great it had a movie named after it, this Album is where Queen's style and flair really starts to settle in.

It's a very good album.

Queen - Sheer Heart Attack
87

Released in the same year and only eight months after the fantastic 'Queen II', Queen's third studio album, 'Sheer Heart Attack' is yet another great album by the band, Queen, it's got a lot going on, but overall plays it safer than it's older brother 'Queen II' which is a much more experimental and unique album, but still, it manages to create it's own identity for itself, with such classics as 'Brighton Rock', smash hit 'Killer Queen', 'In The Lap Of The Gods' and it's revisited counterpart, ... read more

Queen - Queen II
95

Queen II is a truly fantastic album, everything down to the placement/order of the songs in the album feels thought out and perfected, the album forgoes the typical "Side A/Side B" and goes for "Side White/Side Black" and places a song on each side depending on what the song is about, it takes the listener through the land of Rhye and it's an experience when you listen in order. The album closes out with an updated version of 'Seven Seas Of Rhye' from the band's debut album ... read more

Queen - Queen

Very strong start to Queen's career, but mostly songs that are just pretty good and then boosted by the great songs 'Keep Yourself Alive' 'Doing Alright' and 'Liar', the early version of 'Seven Seas Of Rhye' was also a teaser of great things to come
