Like all heavy-metal groups, Queen's most easily distinguished trait is a knack for manipulating dynamics. But what sets them apart is their selection of unlikely effects: acoustic piano, harp, acapella vocals, no synthesizers. Coupled with good songs, Queen's obviously the strongest contender in its field.

Queen is the most overrated band of all time, by far. Not much is done here that wasn't already done much better by someone else. Freddie Mercury could hit high notes? Sweet, but this nonsensical, basic pop rock is far from a landmark in music.

Aaaaand another album drops into the 80s range. Guess I just over-rated every album.
This album is very underrated, especially The Prophet's Song and '39. The Prophet's Song is almost as good as Bohemian Rhapsody and it's a shame that it only sits at 86.
