also i think when hes on these very latino sounding instrumentals in the first two tracks his vocals would sound much better in his usual funk sound cuz i love the instrumental of those tunes but he's so out of place, i'd much rather just hear a mexican singer over those
it's just so nice. it's a pleasant listen, it's pretty, it's fun, so many good musical moments and i just really like listening to this album. it's good. i really don't know what else to say it's just good. it's a good album.
favs: godstained, dancing without moving, that's why
this album is very important
its so full of flavor and culture, all so masterfully put together, its really mindboggling
fav tracks: webpunk, lightning bolt, walking beside a dragonfly, a digital flower field (these are literally perfect songs)
The intro is honestly one of the best intros I've heard in any album, however I feel like the tracks that follow lose a lot of its momentum despite also being good-sounding songs. An intro like that feels like it wants gets me ready for some crazy dance stuff, like what Lady Gaga did in MAYHEM to set the scene, so following the intro up with some relatively slower tracks definitely made me lose a little bit of interest. The tracks themselves are nice, just not anything that particularly ... read more
The tracks are really short, the lyricism is unbelievably corny, there's little to no consistency and the mixing kinda blows all over (the drums being super drowned out while the vocals are pushed very crisp), but there is a level of enjoyment I get out of some of the songs on this project. Particularly with the idea that they're going on tour, I feel like maybe that was put on the forefront a bit too hard; these sounds do very much sound like they would go OFF in a live setting even ... read more
Gorgeously produced and masterfully written. It's all so smooth and beautiful (not to mention the wonderfully silky catchy-as-hell vocals) and it lands every topic and theme so perfectly in a way that makes me parallel to some of the hardest points of my life. Currently helping me get over things little by little at a point where I desperately need it.
why does the released version of this sound so much worse than the in-game version? the released version is so overcompressed and mixed in such an awkward way, and don't even get me started on whatever the hell the midsection vocoded vocal is, i'm just so in awe at how bad this is for mdk's standards, especially for having like 6 years to work on this it just feels so halfbaked to me
This is entirely first listen surface level, so might change my opinion later, but to be completely frank, it's extremely refreshing to see an Eminem album that actually stays on topic for longer than the first 3 tracks. When he's locked into the theme of the album, the music itself sounds pretty compelling and he's bringing a decent amount of energy into it. I'm willing to look past the goofy ass bars he'll slip in cuz it's like, at least he's actually saying ... read more
Zef really shows in this project that he has one of the most unique takes on bass music out there and I'm absolutely here for it
Quite simply just one of the most mindblowing listens I've ever had listening to any record, this guy is just one of the most cutting edge creatives on this god damn planet
Brilliant melodicity and composition, absolutely a defining point in my music taste and own production. While some of the production is not the most polished thing ever made, the ideas are just so genius and catchy that it makes the project an incredibly fun and enjoyable listen. The lead solos all throughout the project are quite simply top notch and iconic.
Ever since I got into dubstep and colour bass I've always wished for a full-length story-driven LP from a colour bass artist, since the technical mastery of these artists in my mind would very much prove to work to their favor in creating a beautifully crafted experience, and I believe this is truly what I was hoping for. Everything about this project just expresses prime mastery of sound design, composition, story-telling, it all comes together really. Beautifully so. The story the album tells ... read more
Honestly even after two days of listening I still cannot comprehend how good this album is, the concept is already great from the start but the way it's pulled off and the lyricism is absolutely masterful and even extremely heartbreaking at times. The fact it's self produced too just boggles my mind, the instrumentation is absolutely gorgeous all throughout and there's so many unique ideas in there that I just love. It's been insane watching Quadeca's musical journey and he's really come out ... read more
