Easily the worst album I've ever heard. Lou Reed's vocals are disappointing, uninspired and abysmal. The instrumentals are uninspired and uninspiring. One of the poorest acts of lyric writing I've ever seen. The only thing this album has going for it is the idea behind it and the album cover.

Criminally underrated album.
People give this album a lot of flak for the snare drum -- which, granted, doesn't sound good -- but I don't think it's as bad as most people say it is for the most part. It's only really bad for the first listen or so, but you get used to it, and (eventually) it actually serves as a positive for the album. My second favourite of Kendrick's albums, and one of my top 10 albums of all time.
Personally, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers grapples with DAMN. as my favourite Kendrick album, however the tracks I dislike off of MM&TBS are worse in my opinion than those off of DAMN., which causes the album to lose score as a whole. Nonetheless, MM&TBS is still a masterpiece and that goes without saying.

I know this is a somewhat mainstream take, but DAMN. is surely my favourite Kendrick album of all time, and easily makes my personal top 5 favourite albums of all time (from the albums I've listened to thus far of course.) Not only do I enjoy almost all of the tracks (with the only ones I don't presently like being YAH., ELEMENT., LOYALTY., LOVE., and GOD.), but I find the lore surrounding the album, in addition to the hidden album within it to be extremely captivating.

Great album. Easily top 5 of all time for me. And I hadn’t really listened to much Childish Gambino before then, and I still don’t aside from this album. I know his other albums are like this one, but I still plan to listen to them. Thus far this is the only album I’ve listened to by him. And I don’t listen to much funk, psychedelic soul or R&B either.
