When Yeat said that it's his best album, he really wasn't bullshitting. Just from listening to the album, you can tell he has sonically matured so much from his early 2020s eras. We might never get another album like Up 2 Më or 2 Alivë, and that is perfectly fine. This album is a turning point in his career and we have to wait for what he has in store in the future, and this album makes me hopeful that it's going to be some good shit.

The first half shows honest to god true potential, with excellent beat choices and decent performances. But after The Truth it completely nosedives. This album, as a whole, is as bland an uninspired as the cover art. And if THİS is his best album according to his fanbase then İ am unenthused to listen to the rest of his discography. Must be embarassing to have the best song of your album be an interlude

While it's clear that Rocky wanted to experiment with this album, it was absolutely NOT worth the near 7 year wait. I'm not going to pretend like I don't know why this album got delayed as much as it did but Rocky also shouldn't have announced many releases windows prior to the actual one. after a proper relisten to this album in 8 years, ive come to the conclusion that i really dont like this album very much
the first and last 5 tracks are really good, however the middle 5 songs i would either change or remove from the album completely ( make punk longer, make double bass shorter, remove that ear piercing flute in rock the house)
its still worth a listen if youre having a discog binge of gorillaz if you ask me
