my lord can he stop crying.
dude is a billionaire and is whining, ending off his most anticipated album with the message, “The innocent Drake will never be seen again :(.” Yo, you are a 40-year-old man crying because you started a beef, and when you lost it, you sued the label and lost that, too. You are not a victim. You are a chud who reuses stolen flows on a different beat every song with the same forgettable throwaway bars every record.

If this is supposed to be Cole's "Magnum Opus," I'm definitely left desiring more.
That doesn't take away from the impressive production and solid pen-game that keep you occupied for a double LP; that's damn near 2 hours in runtime. Regardless, I'm left feeling that, for the most part, this record is "Good Enough". Context removed, it's a solid record, with some incredible tracks spread throughout.
But, for a project apparently 10 years in ... read more

so overhated
This is far from the worst thing I've ever heard, and I'm shocked. It might be because of the sheer amount of hatred this guy receives that I was expecting some of the most atrocious music ever created, because apparently, anything bbno$ does results in Twitter-warriors sending death threats to him. There are actually some fun tracks here, along with some really corny and forgettable ones. The biggest offense is the length of the record; 50 minutes for a collection of ... read more

Listening to Currents and Lonerism made me think Kevin would be one of the most important artists of our generation. Listening to The Slow Rush was disappointing, but I hoped it was just a minor hiccup, like all artists experience in their discographies. And now we reach a boring, washed-up, and soulless version of everything Kevin did on his fantastic projects... What a disappointing artist.
Turn Pain To Power, Put Faith In Love.
My only knowledge of Maruja was from their captivating performance in the song 'CASPER' by Quadeca (on his solo record 'Vanisher, Horizon Scraper'). A track so entralling with its powerful build into an eventual explosion of addictive noise almost immediately drew me towards their sound. - However, absolutely none of that could've prepared me for the emotional rollercoaster of this LP.

Creating a record over an hour long that keeps your ears tuned in and interested the entire way through is a difficult task. On top of that, being able to make a record that has 14 tracks with zero skips or misses. Morphing genres like Art Pop, Folk, and Experimental hip hop; genres that don't have highly praised crossovers or crossovers period, and make an addictive sound that not just a niche music nerd audience but practically anyone with eardrums and who isn't ... read more
