goddamn, Benny’s verse on “Kostas” washes everything else it’s kinda insane
Half Doin Dope: 73 It feels like JID spends the first minute warming up, and then hits us with that nice double-time flow for a couple bars before handing it off to Yachty. Yachty does okay, but JID's second verse is the real saving grace of the song. The beat is a little distracting though.
Van Gogh: 75 The darker, heavier beat suits both rappers a little better than the previous beat. Its lyrics need improvement though.
rhyme scheme is kinda basic but this beat fits Nicki well. Definitely better than the new Doja song lol
track 1: As short as it was, it made me want to listen to “Couldn’t Be Done” by Freddie Gibbs instead because they have the same sample
track 2: I liked that reference to Jay-Z’s 99 Problems, but then he said the word “fa**otry” and I started wondering if he was going to start rapping about being a black gay man, like Kevin Abstract from Brockhampton?
