A nice step up from their last EP and a good hold over between LPs. 3 of the 4 songs are great with Artillery being the weakest for me. Still a solid song though
I loved this album when it came out. I just wanted more blink and was happy with whatever. Returning to this after Tom has rejoined made me see this album for what it is. It’s not particularly good and only has a handful of notable tracks
An album made by Mark Hoppus, Matt Skiba and Travis Barker should be so much better and should sound way different. Gonna place a lot of blame on producer John Feldman, this is the sound he wanted and it’s what he got. Not great!
The deluxe part of the album is SO much better than the original California
I’m not a huge fan of metal so my expectations weren’t too high despite this albums classic status. This album immediately hooked me and had me jamming for 47 minutes. I can see why this is considered one of the best metal albums ever!
My take on this album that goes against the grain: There isn’t an album in the history of music that needs to be 2 hours long. While there is some interesting stuff here, this album certainly doesn’t justify it
The album starts off pretty strong but the back half isn’t nearly as good as the first half. This is still a step up from their last album so I’ll take it
Favorite Tracks: Sometimes I Swear & Discount De Kooning
The 60s might be my favorite decade for music. Such a crazy innovative decade
The placement of songs on this is incredibly planned out. The top songs are spread out so the album always feels fresh with a long track list
Didn’t love this album. There was a little too much MGK influence on the pop punk side. The concept for this album was a cool idea for a final album though
