As his 3rd Album, Dirty Mind feels like hes found his sound, but could take it further. I found it unfortunately quite repetitive, but as per usual I can appreciate and enjoy the funk elements. Lyrically, it's sexual in nature, but well written being witty and funny. The lyrics are more my favourite part of this.
Overall, it isn't so bad that I'd call it a step back, but it's just fine.
This album is so fun, with fantastic synth beats and so much funk. I found myself bopping to the beat for most of it.
I can understand why Prince made the waves in the industry he did if he was so capable of such songwriting and production at 19. It's a worthy debut album, and from here he only transformed his sound further.
Stevie Wonder was a mainstay as I was growing up, so this album holds a real soft sport in my heart.
Outside of that, it really is a soul masterpiece and has the power to uplift you regardless of your mood or situation. It really is an escape from the things around you, or a compliment to them.
Some of his most iconic and popular tracks are on this album, but the less appreciated ones are still incredible.

A step down from part 1, still contains good tracks though.
A true West-End classic feeling, RAYE let's her songwriting and beautiful voice shine from start to finish. Combined with the excellent composing of her collaborators and her musical ear, THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE is as cinematic as it is hopeful.
Lyrically, this album feels like an empowerment for herself and women, telling great stories over fantastic instrumentals.
