Plastic Death is the perfect amalgamation of all the different styles the band Glass Beach specialized in. Everything in this album fits together perfectly despite it seeming like it shouldn't. This album has some of my favorite songs ever, and even if a little difficult to analyze, has so much emotion and interesting themes throughout.
Favorites: rare animal, coelacanth, puppy, commatose, abyss angel
I don't even need to say anything. Okay, maybe I do. I fucking love TFGBA. This album contributed to me finding out a lot about myself, and also just has so many lyrics, ideas, and themes that hit me so so hard. I relate a little too much to some of these songs, and listening start to end is a whole other experience.
Favorites: glass beach, bedroom community, yoshi's island, cold weather
I really like this remaster! My only complaint is that some songs kind of just feel out of place, like Optimistic Son and Joe Drives Again are very obviously kind of much newer in terms of the other songs. I think it is still very good though! Even if it is kind of a worse version of Teens of Denial...
Favorites: Optimistic Son, Drunk Drivers/Killer Whales, Joe Drives Again, Vincent
I love this album. The peaks and valleys it has in terms of emotion and musical technique really take you for a rollercoaster of emotions, and some of the songs are straight up bangers. The only issue I have with it is that planet desperation and reality are just a littttle too long, but that adds to the experience so it's fine.
Favorites: Reality, The Catastrophe, Gethsemane
I mess with this album. I like the experimental-ness of it, but a lot of the songs off of it are downright bad in my opinion, at least for my standards of csh. It leaves it a little forgettable.
Favorites: Life Worth Missing, Martin, Can't Cool Me Down, There Must Be More Than Blood
