It drags you into the abyss, but with a crooked smile. Paranoid Android crushes you and then lets you float, as if Thom Yorke is laughing at your emotional mess. Karma Police sounds sweet, but by the end, it’s basically telling you to get a therapist. It’s devastating and, at times, almost cruelly ironic.
It’s an album I never get tired of. It perfectly balances apathy and energy, with a hidden intensity that captivates.
The opening track, Is This It, a calm yet gripping tone. Last Nite is an undeniable hit its simple riff and carefree lyrics make it instantly relatable. But Someday is my personal favorite. The line “You said you can’t stay” captures the bittersweet feeling of inevitable endings you wish you could hold onto
