Ghost Mountain - OCTOBER COUNTRY

pretty swag I like the production on a lot of tracks

Inconsistent - Acting Cool
90

I'm writing this review like while doing homework but yeah I wish Inconsistent dropped more music but I guess that's where the name comes from. And while this may be a rather bold statement, I'd argue Acting Cool is top 3 emo Ep's of all time, interesting sound, great vocals, and the instrumentals match the vibe to a tea. Only thing that would make it much better is more ngl.

Tyler, The Creator - BEST INTEREST

prettyu goodd single

Bedwetter - volume 1: flick your tongue against your teeth and describe the present.
88

For my 250th rambling review, I finally gotten around and chose Travis Miller's Bedwetter alias. And I can't believe how beautiful it is, throughout this record he brings a looming sense of doom which only builds as the album progresses.

There's no easy way for me explain this project as a whole, every track has a unique feeling but at the same time has a familiar sense of comfort. And as crazy as it seems but as depressive as this record is, I can't help but feel ... read more

jaydes - Count Up Dracula
36

Not even that bad, the whole style is like the loserest of loser music but if I had to choose an artist who's a terrible person I'd choose Jaydes. To be fair though that's a low bar and this is still pretty ass, a couple songs are decent imo.

From this whole experience I enjoyed a couple songs being scary movie, hysteric, last but not least junkie.

Also he was literally saying exactly what he was gonna do brah yall were being warned.

Kendrick Lamar - GNX
68

I was not expecting a Kendrick album anytime soon, and to be honest I was worried at first but it's an alright album, as long as it doesn't get overplayed like Not Like Us we'll be good🙏.

There's some key tracks among the rest that I really enjoy such as man at the garden, dodger blue and of course, the highlight of the album, heart pt. 6. Despite that the album's just too inconsistent. The thing that saves it for me is the absolute beauty of an outro, gloria.

Nick Drake - Bryter Layter
89

Just like Pink Moon, Nick Drake brings a soulful singer-songwriter feel.

Generally I have no complaints overall, I was a little confused over the fact Hazey Jane 1 if AFTER Hazey Jane 2 but that's no biggie, I like the jazzier elements incorporated into this record and his vocals accompanying it brings it all together!

There are some weaker tracks in my eyes but they don't really leave much of an impact when there's some amazing songs alongside them.

Basic summary is it's ... read more

Hornus - The Corridor
88

Moving onto to The Corridor, I along with some other people have been following Hornus1988 for quite some time. Since the start the story has been incredibly interesting, but we've also gotten some albums out of it.

I can't put it into words but the growth of this album from Hornus's other music such as "Date: 00912 in Aproximately 8 Weeks until Ascension" is tremendous, you can see the effort put into every little detail and oh boy does it pay off.

Hornus - Date: 00912 in Aproximately 8 Weeks until Ascension

The samples are interesting, it maintains an earie yet vivid feel through and it's sound evolves throughout the listen. It's rather difficult to explain this project but nonetheless I highly recommend if you like very much experimental music.

It had it's problems and is a little wacky for my taste but overall very intriguing

Tyler, The Creator - CHROMAKOPIA
95

I've been excited for this album the second I heard about it, CHROMAKOPIA might just be the most growth as an artist I've ever seen. Throughout the whole listen this shit is PEAK, each song has a super unique vibe that evolves the further you're into the album!

There's a little bit of everything on this record, but something I really like is the beat switches, they flow very well and the whole vibe is just great.

Generally I just love what he went for on CHROMAKOPIA, one ... read more

Origami Angel - Gen 3
74

Thought id go more into Origami Angel's EP's, and this is pretty good, every song is pretty solid in my eyes.

For 4 songs they all work pretty well, Sapphire is a tad out of place imo and gives off Gami Gang vibes but it doesn't ruin the EP or anything.

Generally it's fairly fluid throughout and I like the instrumental's. (Also despite the fact a lot of people don't fw Ruby, I think it's pretty catchy.)

But yeah, another good piece of work from them, and ... read more

Hubba hubba, hummina hummina awroooggaaaa! Zoo wee mama, this concludes the review. Thank you all very much.

KSI - Thick of It / Low
27

I've probably tried to write this review 10 times by now. I've tried to make it short, I've tried to make it long. I've thought about if it's even worth it to give such a low score to a single and yet we're here.

Now, it's not THAT bad, like the comedic factor just has to add a few brownie points despite it all sounding the exact same.

My main question is why any artist would want to collab on this train wrench waiting to happen. There also just isn't ... read more

Origami Angel - Origami Angel Broke Minecraft
45

I see why mfs warned me.

I mean, seeing remixes of other tracks is cool and all, but just like with Gami Gang, the mixing is so ass, and ontop of that it's just overall very offputtingly meh.

I do like their idea but it's execution is very bleah in the end, I can't put my finger on what really drags in down in general, but my best guess is the vocals or mixing, kinda just sucks compared to anything else of their work.

The Wonder Years - The Greatest Generation
88

Gotta check out some more recs, and oh boy this was great, the emotional vocals paired with those kickass instrumentals just sound so great together! And on top of that the songwriting is pretty good as well.

Overall I can't really name much wrong, I love the vocals and everything else works along with it, it's just really good generally, idk what else to add.

Weezer - Pinkerton
79

The album cover is so awesome looking!!

I actually think Pinkerton has a lot of great tracks throughout, and whist there my be some weak songs amidst them, I still enjoyed it overall.

One of the most prevalent features about Pinkerton in my opinion is the songwriting, throughout the album you can notice it has a very interesting "Vent" style, and this applies to pretty much every track on the record. It may only be a small part of the album, but I think it makes a big difference by ... read more

Origami Angel - Feeling Not Found
90

I LOVE ORIGAMI ANGEL SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!

Just as the rest of their music, Feeling Not Found provides a super energetic sound alongside some amazing instrumental work!

Another thing I'm very happy about is the mixing on this, their last few releases since Somewhere City have been very off on the mixing, but this just works great!

On top of all of that, they manage to grow as a band, whilst also staying true to their original style!! A good example is how they incorporate more ... read more

Ween - Quebec

Checking out more from the Ween bunch.

And this time I decided to listen to Quebec after a Lot of nagging from my pals, whilst I wasn't a huge fan of the first track, I still carried on, and it only got better for the most part!

Now this is a hot take to say the least but I do NOT like Transdermal Celebration, and personally I get much more off of Weens "Softer" tracks, I'm not sure what specifically about it but I prefer the music of theirs that doesn't sound like a ... read more

Joyce Manor - Cody
70

Nothing special, but good nonetheless.

After hearing Eighteen and really enjoying it, I wanted to check out the rest of the record along with some more of there work, and whilst it's still quite the solid record, there are some weaker tracks amidst it.

Overall I really like the vocals from this album but, after a few tracks it tends to sound generic, and whilst the middle is quite underwhelming, I personally think they bring it back in the end

your best friend jippy - Fresh Tracks for Autodidacts

Such a whimsical vibe.

I don't know how I'm just hearing of this guy, this jolly music is just up my alley, and on top of that, you get loads of variety with the shorter tracks!

It's hard to explain why I like this so much, but I would say it's the combination of some cleaver flows along with some enjoyable beats! Generally I don't understand the lowballing of the record, for me all of the lowkey elements work great together, and on top of that there's some ... read more
