Honestly, after several more listens, this project hits me harder and harder every time. The power behind it is insane the way they blend raw emotion, sharp punchlines, and that cold Buffalo atmosphere feels completely authentic from start to finish. Considering his talent, he’s capable of something far greater. The project is good and well executed, but it feels a little too simple and restrained compared to what he can truly create. He needs more extravagance, more risk, more creative madness...
It’s a very cinematic album.
I can clearly see how strong Laufey is everything feels controlled and elegant.
But I still feel a bit distant.
I admire it more than I connect with it, and I can’t fully get into her world on this project.
She’s honestly incredible. She’s captivating, whether it’s through her guitar or her voice, and her blend of genres is really unique. With every project, she surprises me more. it’s both touching and technically impressive.
Her three-track EP really shows it: in such a short format, she builds a strong, cohesive world while still exploring different vibes. Between intimate moments and more daring passages, she proves she can do it all without ever forcing it.
