Wow why is this so under appreciated? Why is this band so under appreciated?
This is definitely not their best album by any means but damn those first 4 tracks are so good. They are all contenders for some of their best songs, title track in particular which is possibly my favourite song by the band. Contender for one of the best 4 song runs in music history - Tell me why, After the gold rush, only love can break your heart, southern man.
This is a seriously underrated album. A real gem of early 70s prog-folk. The album consists of 2 sides of music the first of which is the title track, a 20min epic, this song is absolutely outstanding with some excellent lute playing and some beautiful melodies.

Although there is some rubbish tracks on this, undeniably this has some of The Beatles’ best material they released, especially John Lennon’s.
