Honestly, Beatrice M.'s record 'Sinking' was an album I picked up from Qobuz's handpicked New Releases section, and I have to say it was pretty disappointing. This album sounded pretty much the same the entire way through with little exceptions such as 'In Touch' (which honestly didn't even help due to the vocals and lyrics also being very mediocre as well). In its defense, I'm not really a big "electronic" genre person, but when Qobuz also ... read more
50th Review time!!! So in all honesty this album alongside 'Infinity on High' are probably the best Fall Out Boy currently has to offer, even if 'From Under the Cork Tree' has my heart. It's fun, it's dynamic, and it's one of the more fundamental times for FOB. With this release having a song like 'What a Catch, Donnie,' everyone thought FOB was announcing their goodbye. I have heard her first second album, 'Bewitched,' and I'll spare the details for a future review- but I wanted to say that it was one I liked a few songs on, and wanted a little bit more ... read more
'The New Abnormal' is The Stroke's 6th album, and one of their more popular ones to date. While I haven't had *direct* experience with the group, I did get to know what some members were capable of with side projects CRX and Machinegum. After listening to 'The New Abnormal' I can definitely say that there are big differences between projects- which is expected but was still nice to see how different they can be.
Honestly this album took me a while to really ... read more
