Foo Fighters - Your Favorite Toy
68

Yup, It's Foo Fighters alright.

A lot of the songs develop into a soup of the same shit. Blaring guitars, distorted vocals, Dave Grohl screaming. It's just all the same

There is some listenable music in here, but Spit Shine is a song that should have never seen the light of day. Seriously, It's just awful. This entire album leaves me one question. Is this how much Foo we can fight for in 2026?

Black Label Society - Engines of Demolition

Good groove metal album. Gets boring towards some points, best stretch is probably from track 9-13. Lord Humungus is probably the best track.

Queen Jayne - Queen Jayne

someone sign these guys

Converge - Love Is Not Enough

My first metalcore listen, yay!

I'm a metal guy at heart, it's basically all I listen to, so to see a metal album at #1 in critic rankings made me giddy. This was a different kind of metal, at least for me. See I've always been the type of guy that listens to the thrash-inspired stuff and post-grunge, if you consider post-grunge metal. That's not to say I haven't tried to delve into different sub-genres.

This was a different kind of monster, usually I try to find ... read more

Bruno Mars - The Romantic

SOMEHOW this album manages to be bloated at just 32 minutes long. This does not sound like it took 3 years to make.

Daughtry - SHOCK TO THE SYSTEM (PART TWO)

Chris Daughtry still has it after 20 years. Best song is THE BOTTOM.

Alter Bridge - Alter Bridge
84

This is Alter Bridge's greatest work since Fortress.

It carries over the heavy guitars and soaring vocals that we have known Alter Bridge for since 2004. In this they do keep their same sound that does get boring after some time, but make no mistake, it is still Alter Bridge. It takes some of the darker lyrical themes seen in AB III but keeps the heavy guitars and insane talent seen in Fortress.

This self-titled album brings a return to form after Walk the Sky and Pawns and Kings, it is ... read more

Metallica - St. Anger

A truly odd record in Metallica's discography, but still worth listening to. "Shoot Me Again" and "Sweet Amber" are standouts for me, this album is plagued by it's production, however. At any other time with better production, I feel this album would be well-regarded, but the product that came out was simply not good.

Taylor Swift - Midnights
47

Meh, just overly bloated H&M pop.

Megadeth - Megadeth
45

What a way for Megadeth to go out. No really, what an awful fucking way for Megadeth to go out. One of the greatest thrash metal acts and you have "Obey the Call" on your album? The only good thing about this work is the guitar work, Dave Mustaine is still Dave Mustaine, voice or not.

Taylor Swift - THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT
43

Soulless, so that's all I will give for this review.

Nirvana - Incesticide

Honestly awful, most tracks on this album make me want to throw out my headphones. Dive, Molly's Lips, and Aneurysm are highlights, though.
