Found Alison through Ninajirachi about a month before this album dropped, I really enjoy this one. My personal favorites are iwannaliveinadream, Heaven, and Get Started, although there are several more sentimental songs on this album I also quite enjoy.
If you need an hour and thirty minutes of music that makes you feel like no other music does this is the album for you. The texture of SOPHIE's synths is unlike anything I've ever heard. The final 6 songs talk you on a journey through the depths of some foreign landscape. Not an album I can listen to regularly, but as a treat it's an incredible experience.
My favorite album to ever exist, it's shaped me significantly more than I would like to admit, but for good reason. SOPHIE's legacy is immeasurable.
Great album, as others have said there's definitely some skip able songs but the hits hit sooo good.
A preview for the absolute peak that is "I Love my Computer", this collection established girl EDM as a term in my vocabulary
If Ninajirachi didn't drop this year this would have been my album of the year, this album yet again proves Jane can cook in any genre.
So far underground they are subterranean, this album is one of the best examples I can find of popularity and music quality being wholly unrelated. It truly exemplifies the emotion and rage of a troubling past that you continue to gloss over. Beautiful album, every song is worth a listen.
Takes everything I loved from 1,000 gecs and makes it even better. There is still nothing else like them in the music space. We can only pray 100,000 gecs with be 10x better
When someone asks me what I think the most perfect and complete album is its this one without question. There are other albums with higher peaks, but none have the level of constant quality as Wallsocket. Combined with the incredible companion ARG the songs become all the more meaningful. A must listen album.
Easily change's best album to date, the definitive Changeline experience.
I love this album so much, it makes me nostalgic for things I've never experienced. Has consumed my life more than any other album in recent memory. As someone who already likes hyperpop and electronic music this album was even better than what I expected.
My personal favorites are: Fuck my Computer, Battery Death and It's You.
