ASTOUNDING album these guys pioneered power metal. Robs voice carries so much energy. Although the some of the songs on it weren’t my favorite because rob makes his voice come off a little too strong at times through the songs. The album was composed so well they know when to dial the speed and energy back and then build it up again. A great album no doubt but it the energy and gravity kinda fall off after the first three songs. It gets picked up again at testify and the dropped again till dirty pool and Lenny. For that reason I can only give this album a 77.
i was definitely caught off guard by how decent the album was. whatever mood or feeling Gary wants to perpetrate with his Les Paul and Marshall amp he will get across the table to you undeniably. i feel like his guitar speaks a language in itself which a very few amount of musicans can achieve.
laynes voice is so incredible it is criminal to rate any album less than a 70. even if you don't like the song itself you can still listen to it for his voice.
