Ministry - ΚΕΦΑΛΗΞΘ [Psalm 69: The Way to Succeed and the Way to Suck Eggs]

I've heard all of these songs individually but this is my first time sitting down with this entire record, and I am doing so not just because it's a classic and acclaimed release, but because this band is one of the headliners at Milwaukee Metal fest which I am FINALLY going to this year.

Pretty self-explanatory record honestly. It didn't hit as hard as I'd hoped, I honestly wished it was even harsher and noisier, but the good songs are pretty good. I've heard that ... read more

I'm actually gonna be seeing this band live in a couple hours, and it's been a while since I listened to this so I'll give it a proper review this time.

I've only ever heard Colors as far as experience with this band goes, but I do absolutely love that album. This album didn't have many moments that completely blew me away like Colors did, but that could be because I'm expecting the unexpected now with this band.

Sight Welder are a female-fronted black metal band from Israel, and they like to incorporate a lot of alternative style melodies and other weird techniques, so I guess that makes them post-black? Idk, that's what I'm gonna put but feel free to ... read more

Thanks @lowXIXlow for the recommendation, I don't think this is something that would've been on my radar otherwise.

From the name of the band I went in expecting mathcore, and that's exactly what I got, though I typically want my mathcore to be just as insane as possible, because I would call this math-deathcore or something like that. Still a really cool sound, but there's still just gonna be bands I prefer.

The vocals are pretty far back in the mix, and I got used to it ... read more
