My first album and introduction to gracie and it was so disappointing. I really like the song close to you because of its similarities to lorde’s supercut. Jumping into this album, I was expecting that the soundscape would have the same mental and production approach but the album unfortunately lacked flavor through and through. Maybe it will grow on me but i doubt so
One thing about charli, whenever she dipped her toes into something new, she made sure to knock it out of the fucking park because what AN album. It’s rave/dance album perfection.
I think she reached a new high with this one. My album of the year for sure
as per usual, a disco pop album from dua lipa but this time around it has more dark and psychedelic sound to it. not a bad album. not her best either.
If I have to describe my initial listen, it’s like walking on a beautiful plateau which after sometime you would get bored with. I definitely could appreciate the view but there wasn’t much going on at the same time. I anticipated hard hitting moments or some sort of climax but seem to struggle finding one. It became exhaustive really quick and failed to pick up the steam at all. That being said, I did enjoy a couple of songs but wish that Taylor and Jack could’ve done better ... read more
damn this might be my album of the year. there were hardly any skips
I don't think she will ever top her magnum opus Golden Hour.
fav tracks: deeper well, giver/taker, the architect, heaven is
I can see this album being repetitive for some people but I thought it was not bad. Maybe having listened to all of the singles already does help a little. Sonically, it is very midnight-esque by Taylor Swift which kind of expected since the album was produced by Jack mostly. It sounded dreamy especially when Jack smacked the shit out of those synth in the background
mildly boring at times especially the second half of the album. some tracks are pretty solid tho
lmao definitely can't get any British-er than Loo Song
on a serious note, the album is okay ig. I honestly would have given it below 70 if not for the track 4 to 7 run
Gjuha felt like a transition between the first and the second half of the album, which makes perfect sense to me. The first half was a slow burn. It built up the anticipation. Then, the second half came in and everything exploded.
