This guy can't not look like a diddiler for more then 14 seconds I swear to god!
yeah its great. its funky, groovy, and funky again. I'm not a fan of his constant sexual moaning though. i also deducted 10 points cus him being named Michael means I'll never be the top Michael "yes It's a competition."
if you get past the fact the mix sounds like its played on a $40 speaker set from 2003, this has some of the most vibey psych songs I've heard with tad bit of samba mixed in for good measure. Brazil in the 70's was something else man!
unfortunately a problem i have with Jane's music is everything feels very bloated most of the time. like how old atlanta and memphis mixtape covers had too much shit on them but in music form. everything also had very similar vibes and production making the whole project sort of drag at times. very solid, but sort of a regression from the last project imo.
Love you T, but genuinely what the fuck.
When I heard people say Tyler used to be a shock artist, I expected the worst, and yeah, it's fucking atrocious. even looking past the incredibly insensitive, homophobic and misogynistic lyrics, the production is near unlistebably terrible at times. the first track is over decent, though every other tracks is just uncomfortable and unpleasant over all.
I pulled a fantano and teared up :(
tw - depression and stuff:
This project took a while to grow on me. As for why I've waited to review this, I knew this album needed to be enjoyed at the right time for me, and it finally clicked. The walls of sound that this album has at times make me become engulfed in their sound to the point where all other stimuli around me are null. Obviously, it's easy to say the music "ascended" me or whatever, but I always found that a lazy way ... read more
obviously no rating because... duh.
"I want AI to clean my house and so my laundry so I can do my art, Not for the AI to do art so I can clean my house and do my laundry"
AI is dumb and not ready, initially it was cool to think of the future, until we realized only creative works would be affected, and instead of using it as a way to make jobs easier, they made them do the whole fucking job.
This Kendrick Lamar guy has potential, hell, maybe he'll make something comparable to J.Cole and CA$H Cobain's LEDGENDARY Grippy.
But yeah, Damn. deserves all the praise it gets. has his most "banging" tracks in his catalogue-
yes, more than GNX
and Pride. is a top 5 song in his discog.
this is what those liminal spaces would sound like as a album. it sounds so utterly horrifying yet beautiful at the same time.
never have I been so genuinely BORED listening to a album. its one thing to make bad music, its a whole other thing to make music that makes you forget you're listening to music. John Coltrane manages to somehow make music that is on par with literal white noise, and at that point, id rather the noise, because you don't need to look up anything to hear the static from your AC.
never reviewed this i see, so here is this. Carrie and Lowell has a sweet and heart warming concept, but his singing is just way too monotone for me, it sounds just so utterly emotionless for such a emotional album. aswell has his writing being so predictable makes this a hard listen for me. while I see why so many people have connected with this album, I can't say the same for myself.
