a very good album w/o any real flops just not alot that stuck out 2 me because its just generally not my genre
Such an incredibly strong title track with a strong and enjoyable music video, and then every other song fell so unbelievably flat.
Whiplash, as an aesthetic / concept is also not anything unique / anything aespa hasn't done before </3
That being sad whiplash is fun, and if you liked armageddon and supernova and wanted something in between this is your track : )
I find it a little bit hard to rate this album purely because I think it's in a very weird spot for me and I have conflicting thoughts on it. Glaive has, in this album, shown a LOT of variety in the type of music he can create, and while I do like every song, I don't particularly love any of them 😓 maybe it's just that it's not my genre, but all the songs just seemed really okay at worst, and good at best. Individually, I liked every song on this album, but I think when put together alot of the songs sound very similar to one another. Admittedly this isn't my exact favourite genre, so I'd imagine the formula would work much stronger on someone who listens to hyperpop regularly, but alot of the songs got very old and repetitive fast 💔 I didn't mind listening to it because the formula is good, and I don't see the point in changing what works, but as a result of that alot of ... read more
