A solid overall album from Djo that exhibits creativity and a unique sound. There are multiple catchy tracks on here, with the obvious standout being End of Beginning, which I'm sure nearly everybody has heard on Tik-Tok.

Although I didn't do a deep dive into the lyrics since I don't understand German, I can appreciate many things about this album. The overall concept and flow of this album stay consistent throughout, along with the strong instrumentals. I do agree with consensus that the first 6 tracks are the strongest by a good margin, but the album still finishes strong. Ich Will is going to be a staple of my workout playlists for years.
A nearly perfect debut album from Justin Vernon, the lyricism and overall flow of this debut album cements it as a cornerstone of the indie folk genre. The album starts strong with Flume and continues on into Skinny Love, one of Vernon's best singles even to this day. The Wolves - Creature Fear continue the strong energy and the lyricism to this point can be noted.
