When it comes to Fishmans, it is very hard to go wrong. At this point in their careers, Shinji Sato, Kin-Ichi Motegi and Yuzuru Kashiwabara had entered an era in their discography, upon the success of the fantastic Orange, of unmatched artistry in the fields of Dream pop and neo-psychadelia. Their streak of albums all the way to 98.12.28 is without a doubt, my favourite run of form in music history. This album is most certainly too, my highlight among their studio material. The album sets in ... read more
The best resultant of those early 2000s rap rock fusions. A fun, funky and poppy journey through the trios breathtakingly groovy production. I would also like to complement this review by adding something which does get on my nerves quite frequently, which is the importance of CHAD HUGO: Yep its not only Pharell. Obviously on NERD Shay also plays a massive part in the awesome percussion so those 2 names should be brought up when you talk about the legacy of these legends.

"The FBI labelled us young, wild and homicidal" is a perfect line on the opening song. Every track on this album is the perfect amount of grimy and classy. Westside is as I see it the least competent rapper out of the Griselda big three, and let me tell you that still means 99.9 percent of all other rappers are obsolete in his presence. Despite my fore mentioned preference for Conway and Benny, this album is still one of the gems of the Griselda discography. The production on these ... read more
A Slick, sexy and glitchy take on modern jazz accompanied by some killer IDM soundplay. Consistently refreshing this collection of tracks provides a more human take on the very critically acclaimed IDM scene of the 90s. I do consider this record one of the most solid of that era as it translates very well to this very day as the instrumentation as aged like fine wine unlike some of for example, I Care Because You Do... which although slightly stronger than this album has notable flaws. This ... read more
The grim tales of Detroit. A place in which people don´t have time to worry or care about things they can´t see or sense. There´s no time for God when your mother is running short on rent. There´s no time for distraction is a place in which a wrong move could cost you your next breath. That is in fact the reality of a stark place like this. This is GKMC with a twist of hopelessness. All of these stories about the city and its undying cycle of crime and economic disparity ... read more
It is difficult in the age of modern technology to not become a hermit reclused in the abysmal depths of the internet. If Vaporwave is the exploration of an idyllic future laced by the notions of a nostalgic past, then this is falling down a pit of limbo. The sort of limbo which makes it as if, every time you see a piece of media, you don´t see it for what it is, you become apart of it. A sort of pause in the universe. You are so lost in the day to day world and in the internet that you ... read more
