Woah, not only do I get drums but I get BASS along with it? What a steal!
I'll be honest here, this is just the Hard Normal Daddy review with a few tweaks.
Permutation's a pretty damn catchy, relaxed and unique drum and bass album, especially with the very jazz-infused and loungey sound. This cool electronic genre mix with drum and bass, trip hop, leftfield, breaks and (future) jazz elements thrilled me in particular with the first part, the first side of the vinyl e.g. the first five tracks. Tracks such as "Like Regular Chickens" projects for me the mood of David Lynch' flicks such as Blue Velvet. yeah that's my reaction after i saw the genre (and i never touch it again for almost a year or maybe more until now)
really badass DnB album with some genres bending. there're a lot of cool sound designs here too
dark and mysterious that's what i like + there're hardly any jazz album in my playlist soooo
