Remarkably intricate and razor sharp compositions ... more accessible than anything he's done before, yet it surpasses them insofar has he has shown the beginnings of a total sonic mastery of each subtle aspect of a work.

AllMusic
A dense, plunderphonic kaleidoscope of an album with giant, noisy jazz breaks and groovy electronic synthwork.

Two turntables and a mixer weren’t standard office supplies — until DJ Amon Tobin coded the keyboard-compatible sequencer on Amon Tobin — Supermodified.

Q Magazine
A superbly stealthy assault on the ears, stroking and unsettling in equal measure.

Amon Tobin's Supermodified is an album which evokes the idea of the possibility to listen to it in a neverending loop.

Awesome album by Amon Tobin, not as good as the first 2 albums he released under the Amon Tobin name but this still is very awesome. This album does continue to prove why I love Amon Tobin so much tho…
My favorite tracks: Deo, Get Your Snack On, Precursor, Golfer versus Boxer, Four Ton Mantis, Chocolate Lovely

I wasn't expecting how chill this album was gonna be in comparison to what I've heard from Amon Tobin before, but I very much enjoyed it. If you ever feel like being in a 1950s Ballroom boy do I have an album for you!

The Drum and Bass make my teeth hurt. (This is a good thing)

Supermodified is less Jazz-infused than Tobin's earlier projects, but much more varied in its sound. This album feels very dark but adventurous.
