y2k nostalgic slop or not this is AMAZING. Frou Frou wouldn't release a second album but thank god After is here.
numa ilha is one of the most romantic song both sonically and lyrically I've heard this year.
Now onto the review, I love this album quite a lot. The first half is definitely stronger for me but the second half is still able to hold its ground because it's way more groovy than the first half imo.
she removed two 10's and childlike things from the original album but replaced them with three 10's so this is now a 100.
if yall want great lyrics then why disrespect ttpd? I'm sorry but yall are hypocrites
She was just doing shit in Facing the Wind because what is that mixing my god.
The second track blew me away, what an instrumental break. I love the fact that these songs just kept on growing and having a life of their own, something you do not see very often nowadays :/
The way the lyrics progressively become more decipherable as the album goes on
I genuinely thought it would be metal but i was SOOO wrong. Moving on, I see the Beach Boys influences and I'm loving it. However, I do have to say it feels dull at points but the highlights are great.
