I find each song decently enjoyable, the 2nd and 3rd movement feel uninspired, however. The stoey is also told poorly, if you don’t know the details of Táin bo Cúailnge, it wouldn’t make much sense.
Surprisingly not bad, while each song doesnt deliver a satisfyingly unique experience — some songs and the album more generally have a really good feeling, and we’re fun to listen to.
It’s complete avant-garde bullshit. Nothing about this album screams the best album of all time, for all its glaze, this album serves any listener interested in genuine talent fulfilled. Pink Floyd once agains serves up a plate of nonsense, and calls it fine art. This is ”The Menu” levels of high octane ”art”
The only redeeming song is „Eclipse“. But Pink Floyd reminds you it’s their album, and adds a minute of ambient heartbeats at the end.
Honestly, as much as I find the Beatles extremely well thought out and complex, as well as probably the best band of all time (by any objective metric, not subjectively) thr White Album isnt it. Most of the songs sound uninspired, just like filler, or are an active attack on the ears.
Wild Honey Pie, Revolution 9, Rocky Raccoon, and some others are genuine assaulting to the mind. How one can listen to the first two mentioned without negative consequence would be baffling, and such songs ... read more
