Chromeo didn’t just drop an album with White Women—they distilled pure, liquid sunshine into 12 tracks. From the jump, the slick production and instantly catchy melodies hit you with that perfect retro-yet-modern vibe – it’s airy, smooth, and feels as refreshing and warm as vanilla ice cream melting just right on a hot day. This stuff gets your head nodding and feet moving immediately; it’s pure top-down, desert-highway-at-sunset energy. Okay, so maybe they ... read more
Right off the bat, this new album feels like biting into perfectly ripe watermelon – instantly juicy, refreshing, and just undeniably good. Its melodies and rhythms craft this brilliant classic-meets-modern atmosphere that somehow manages to hit your head, heart, and feet all at the same time, like that feeling of waking up and actually looking forward to the day. Sure, you might've heard sounds like this before, it's not exactly breaking new ground, but honestly, who cares when ... read more
There’s an immediate, almost bracing chill to PVA’s BLUSH, a frosty yet fiercely energetic sound world built from spacious synths and driving experimental rhythms. It pulls you onto a dance floor that feels simultaneously futuristic and uncannily Y2K – think a rave lit by flickering neon, tasting strangely artificial, like blue bubblegum ice. It’s captivating in its weirdness, primarily hitting you in the feet, demanding movement even as its textures feel coolly ... read more
This album is a melancholic yet breathtaking instant classic, where every track flows seamlessly in a beautifully crafted soundscape. The production is pristine, layering ethereal textures with intricate compositions that feel both delicate and immersive. Its cover art is a work of art in itself—unique. Not a single moment feels out of place; i liked every song on this record.
I love all of the songs in this album, with the exception of the track 4. I enjoyed the overall sound and production in this record, a very interesting mixture of modern and retro sounding/engineering, cool vocals and lyrics. Another coherent piece of art.
What a surprise! Loved all of the tracks in this warm-dreamy album. Marvelous cover art.
I enjoyed but not loved the majority of the songs in this album, with the exception of the tracks 1, 6, 9 and 13 respectively. The Album art is very interesting, weird but well constructed.
Love the vibe in this record, i feel it as if it were an 'impossible-love soundtrack' or conceptual album. I liked all of the tracks except the 4, 6, 8 and 9. The cover art is pretty, i like the lighting and composition.
Just a minute w/ Chromeo was my favorite, i liked the rest of the songs except the 11,12,13. Great production, the album cover is good but not great.
