Honestly never experience something like going to a forest in the UK but I guess this is the second closest thing we got.
After a huge lineup change, 3 years and a live album, they're fucking back. With sort of a new sound whilst also keeping elements of whatever prog-jazz-baroque-popish-rock that was happening on their last studio effort. With the band members sounding more like british forest whimsey than ever, which is ironic considering some of the themes and lyrics are pretty dark ... read more
Listening to this while doing homework is frying my brain bruh πππ
So carti, after 5 years and quite possibly the worst album rollout of all time (like bro you constantly went on your insta bragging about this the entirety of last year and yet you still fumbled), finally released this thing. Across this album are two things, bloat and terrible mixing. Sure some tracks in here do hit (EVIL J0RDAN, RATHER LIE, COCAINE NOSE, and SOUTH ATLANTA BABY come in mind), and the features here are ... read more
Album was so good I thought carti wouldn't drop
What they've done on this latest album is infusing the long-ignored genre of Hip-house and turn it into a glitchy mayhem that takes inspiration from genres like dnb, techo, etc., infusing the sounds they're already known for in their catalog. It feels like it takes you to the inside of a robot's guts in a way (look that's the only good explanation I can think of ok). What I can appreciate from this is the fact that the ... read more
This album feels so mesmerizing to hear while also being so quiet you can literally hear the noises coming from the room. It has that "grounded atmosphere", like you're in the room with her while the instrumentation feels like you're being submerged in the ocean at the same time. It almost feels therapeutic in the sense that your mind is being sent into a headspace you can't really explain through words.
I was checking out the singles list for fun and this thing caught my eye, jesus this thing did not dissapoint
I might sound like I'm a pretentious 16 year old who's head is well up in his ass and thinks we're well beyond fucked (I am), but if I were to describe how I feel about this decade so far I feel like this album best envisions that feeling. You can bully me in the comments I prolly will gaf
Honestly gets boring during the middle, although when it picks up the energy a bit is when this album really shines imo.
Pretty weird choice as a single but I'm REALLY excited to see how this works into the album.
The fuck have I just walked into
This is one of the most progressive synthpop records I have heard ever, I just love how dense it all is production and concept-wise, and just how overall strange this is. While there are some catchy bits here and there, I think the highlights are the ones where I feel like are the most progressive sounding (Death and Romance and Watching TV in particular). I guess some of my nitpicks are this thing are that some parts sort of drag on, but that doesn't stop ... read more
Uhhhhhh so since fantano (and for that matter the entire fucking website) decided that this album was mid I returned after like a week or so to actually review this thing
After what was his most eclectic record yet with After The Magic, Parannoul goes back to a noisier sound on Sky Hundred. with ear-banging drums, combined with the improved electronic productions he did on After The Magic, makes this his best album to date.
A Lot Can Happen starts with a bang, with my favorite parts being the ... read more

On this album, porter goes on a more vibrant style on the production side, and what feels like a bit of a pop-punk flare to it at points. Making it one of the brightest and catchiest records this year. But it's also a really honest record. Porter tells that while he is content with where he is, he shows us that sometimes it aint all sunshines and mfing rainbows, and that's what I appreciate most about this record, and I feel like that's the main takeaway from this album.
Its so futuristic, so damn clean, the Little Simz feature is such a sweet fucking cherry on top.
okay wtf this actually might be my favorite song from this year so far
damn I'm so late to this shit
Loss of Life feels like a mix of the neo-psych they did on Congratulations, the synth pop they did on the last record, and a tint of existentialism. And it somehow works, for some reason. This will definitely grow on me as I understand more about the album, but there are some moments that feel a bit long, and also some that I honestly think doesn't really fit the sound all too well.
Brad what the fuck have you put me into
I am shocked, confused, disturbed, and probably traumatized for what this album contains. Sometimes you don't know what the fuck is happening, and sometimes you question whether or not to even put this on considering how fucked up some of the songs (and lyrics) can be. There is no sense of repetition in some of these songs, which can sometimes boost the record, sometimes feel a bit too loose to a fault in my opinion.
