I wish all of space and time was decorated with the angelic twinkle, the euphoric sweetness that permeates through and glazes over every fiber of this album.
EAR CANDY! ACTION BRONSON COOKED! (are we surprised? all the man does is eat. i mean, look at him, he probably weighs the same as a small school bus. bro probably spends all of his time in the kitchen, cooking meal after meal after meal. stay cooking, fat man. stay cooking.)
Very nice. Haters will say its too long, but all that means is that there’s just more to get lost in. All the tracks blend really well, some shining more than others, but altogether providing an incredibly raw, authentic, beautifully lonely soundscape.
“Greetings earthlings, we are the fucking shit” type beat.
The weirdest fun I’ve ever had. And I’ll continue to have this fun. Shamelessly. Again. And again. And again.
Lowkey, if you don’t like this stuff, you’re just a hater. This is so fun! Shoutout to all the features as well, I love it.
I'm very happy I found this fun little project. It possesses a certain charm that allows me to shut my brain off and stop thinking for once. To simply enjoy it for what it is: good music. Shoutout to Joshua Harmon (lead singer of Backseat Lovers). Thank you for venturing out and creating this thing.
Emotionally, I feel like this album bounces back and forth between peaceful bliss and (un?)controlled chaos. There are songs that make you feel warm and safe. Really high highs. Then, on the ... read more
But nah in my professional opinion ts is actually really freaking crazy insanely wildly good. Shoutout production team because this thing is SO dense with some of the craziest sounds and transitions... I haven't enjoyed an album experience this much since listening to jpegmafia for the first time.
But nah ts is wild man you just gotta experience it yourself.
"Maybe we get married one day, but who knows? Think I'll take that thought to the grave, but who knows? I know that I'll love you always..."
I wish I could tell her that. I miss her. Thanks Daniel.
This song found me in college, and I haven't let it go since. Every time I come back to this song, it hits me harder and stronger than it did before. The amount of nostalgia that rushes through my brain, the countless priceless memories packed into all 2 minutes and 13 seconds of this song, only continues to grow.
Thanks for this one, J-crunk. Oh how far we've come...
JVB the swaggiest to be doing it right now. Aboslutely disgusting, in-your-face production, balanced with an super beautiful melodies. The duo continues to level up, and I genuinely can not wait to hear what they do next.
I am very happy that this album continues to remain a diamond in the rough. However, I would still love to speak on its brilliance for a second, in case you’ve stumbled upon it.
Personally, I stumbled across this album at a very crucial time in my life. I think that God put it there on purpose. In short, a series of incredibly significant, unfortunate events began to unfold, bringing me to a mental crossroads of sorts. A kind of crossroads that forces one into a deep state of reflection ... read more
This listen just makes me sad. Not because the music is heartbreaking, but because of how disappointed I am that Big Thief released a dud:(
After one of my favorite albums of the last decade in Dragon New Warm Mountain (and I can not believe that I’m about to say this), Big Thief drops the most unfathomable MID album I’ve ever heard. Each track is painfully repetitive, pushes no creative boundaries, and possesses crushingly 0 memorable flair. For 43 minutes straight of listening to ... read more
I don't think people realize how good Westside Gunn really is. Like, the sample-work on this project is golden! I haven't heard a bad release from this dude...ever! This project specifically is super solid, and I think it will become one of his strongest releases to date. My personal favorite moment was the surprise MIKE feature.
No complaints here. This thing is lazy, twangy, and such an easy listen. Mac always strikes a chord in me.
