Listening to this is like being inside the big lebowski’s bowling dream sequence. Colorful and lush. Marvin is a true staple and icon and every single second of this thing oozes carisma.

One of the biggest influences on shaping my musical taste growing up. I could never forget my first time listening to 'someone great' - just a pure AHA moment for me.
and this album still feels so raw, innovative and on the edge. It never leaves you bored, even the weaker songs towards the end.
It's like if a pretty standard indie folk record got lost in space and landed back on earth completely covered in stardust .
i just really love the doors. perfect band.
every doors record feels like a whole novel - completely soaked in its own style, its own sound, its own surreall imagery. and boy do jim's lyrics get surreal and weird on this one. but its amazing how the tightness of the band (especially densmore's drums) just containes jim's craziness and bravado.
even the fillers on door's albums feel necessary to me, and this one doesent even have much of those.

was building up hype for this project ever since no malice's amazing verse on "i pray for you" and couldnt wait for it too drop.
have to say at first i was underwhelmed, despite a jaw dropping opening track.
other than the top tier rapping i didnt find much to hold on to here.
but after spending some time with it i do think its one of the best hip hop albums in recent recollection.
