Favorites - Looking For Some Light, Why Even Try, Where I'm From, Trying

This album makes me question all my previously rated albums on AOTY. I can't have this sitting with my other high 90s when it's just so much better. It's crazy how well the lyrics still hold up today. And this is easily some of the most emotion I've heard on a record in a while. Will absolutely come back to this.

Favorites - What's Going On, What's Happening Brother, God Is Love, Inner City Blues

The album starts to lag in the middle, but starts and ends off strong! I decided to check this out after seeing it was a highly rated Christian album, despite not knowing Spanish, and I'm glad I did. Some interesting ideas on here.

So... basically if Relient K made nu metal? Okay. I'm sold.

Decided to listen to this since the 20 year anniversary is coming up. Gotta say, I wasn't expecting much from a Christian nu metal album, but there's some pretty solid tracks on here. The lyrics fall flat for me in some places, but as somebody who listens to and enjoys CCM, they're pretty good overall. Very solid debut album.

Just lovely. The pianos laced throughout the album. The trumpet on Hazey Jane II. The lyrics. All wonderful stuff.

I remember having my doubts that I would enjoy an acoustic rock Christian album from the 90s.. wow, was I blown away. So well written.

I skipped this album during my Beatles listenthrough because most of the people I follow don't rank this as high as the other Beatles albums, and I don't hear it talked about as often as the others. Then I followed somebody with a very similar music taste as me, who gave this a 100.

And.. wow, I don't agree. This is the most mid Beatles album. Perhaps I'd like it better if I had seen the film, but I really don't have any interest.

Wait.. this is pretty good?

The anti-Catholic lyrics are pretty cringy, but overall, this is surprisingly well written for a debut Christian album

Not beating the corny allegations with this one.

Ahh.. so beautiful. Outside of A Simple Desultory Philippic, I could listen to these tracks on loop forever and not mind. (Seriously, don't do the spoken word thing again in the middle of such an otherwise soothing album)
