Another album that I have carried with me since I started carving out my own music taste. Many of the songs on this album have touched me in ways that no other music has before or since, especially I Found a Whistle and Siberian Breaks. I've taken many journeys with this album that would have pained me to take alone.
Not only is this album a staple in alt rock music, it has been a staple for myself since I first heard it at the ripe age of 12. Very few albums that I listened to in middle school are still listenable, let alone still a favourite. My favourite track has fluctuated heavily over the years but I believe I've settled on The World Has Turned and Left me Here... nothing like rocking out with some acoustic guitar and I stand by that.
Everything about this album is cohesive, smooth, thought out, and sweet on the ears. Every swell of tension is well placed. Every saxophone riff iconic. Time out of mind and glamour profession get my butt grooving and there is NOTHING that could ever be done about this!
