TTPD, in a way, is a sister album of Midnights. The emotion hidden inside may be hard to grasp at the beginning, but once synchronizing with the songs, you'll find them doing much better than songs from Midnights. It seems that Taylor failed to reemerge her glory again. Not only her vocals, the production was also getting worse. And why the vault tracks sounded like songs from Midnights??? Most of them were both not outstanding and not suitable for 1989 synth vibe, feeling like adding more fillers.
