Okay, Kids See Ghosts review.....I don't have much to say. The album is a concise and packed one that is almost flawless in its tracks. None of the features is bad, none of the production is bad, and the verses are both high-energy and introspective. The reason I can't really say much is that none of the tracks are bad, but none of them are amazing, not to say that it's a mediocre album; it's a great album, but that's it. Just great, nothing phenomenal, nothing ... read more
I'll start by saying that this album is my first Lupe album. I've heard him in numerous Kanye projects and other collaborations, but I never heard him by himself, and holy god, he is good. I came into this album expecting good raps, but nothing else, and I will say I was pleasantly surprised by just how good this album is. And I'm not saying this lightly, like this album is amazing. JID is a goddamn magician with the mic, and he shows just how potent his magic is in this track. He starts with a small and calm flow and slowly ramps it up to a fast and aggresive flow that makes you want to punch a hole in the nearest wall.
Okay, I'm late to the party, but I want to write this immediately after "God does like ugly" because I wanted to share my honest opinion on this topic after his next album. So, is this still the best album of the 2020s? Yes. This album offers a mix of fun delivery, emotion-gripping lyrics, and incredible production. The album itself starts strong with the track Raydar, which is one of the best intro tracks ever, with multiple beat switches and enough flows to make an entire Lil ... read more
