Relistening & Reviewing Albums (Day 7)
White Light/White Heat - The Velvet Underground
Unreal how they managed to follow up TVU&N with an album that, in my opinion, not only rivals but exceeds the visionary and noisiness of the debut-collab. For this review I'm gonna give my individual thoughts on the tracks.
White Light/White Heat:
A very no bs opener track, you hear Lou Reed's vocals instantly followed by the tracks heart-pounding drums. The songs upbeat rock n roll era ... read more
Yknow this track didn't disappoint me, that being said babygirl didn't impress me or excite me a bit for his new album. It just sounds like a b-side from his last album and an inferior track to 'i scream this in the mirror' and 'new black history'.
Pretty strange single choice for how it's stylistically identical to ILDMLFY and outside of peggys nature of keeping his sound fresh.

Master of Reality is definitely one of their most potent releases, from the ... read more
Relistening & Reviewing Albums (Day 13)
What's Going On - Marvin Gaye
This is Marvin Gaye's pledge of hope to a dying world, addressing issues while focusing on unity as the solution. Everything about this album is warm, pure-hearted, and loving, with a grand message that challenges the listener to better shape the way we live on this Earth. ❤️
