First impression: Not very impressed… but not appalled.
Production is high tier, but I felt it was doing too much of the heavy lifting.
Disclaimer: I’m a generous rater
Overcompensate is a great opener. - Will save.
Next Semester is still the best song. - Will save.
Backslide has held up surprisingly.
MIDwest indigo. - Will skip.
Love the vibe of Routines. - Will save.
Vignette grew on me quickly.
The Craving is only slightly less lame than the single version.
Lavish is underrated.
Navigating is overrated.
Snap back is meh. Will snap- sorry, skip.
Oldies station has a nice heart to it.
At The Risk Of Feeling Dumb perfectly describes the risk of listening to it.
Paladin Gay. - Will save.
Overall I think the album lacks a core, it's boring at a lot of places, despite lots of ear candy and being generally pleasant to listen to.
Despite this, the are some really amazing songs holding this album up.
