A solid song, but has the modern muse tendency to cut things too short. Such as the solo desperately needing another 4 measures. Writing and rhythm of the melody are a nice return to form.
I like Mike on here, but this is just another case where the song has no identity of its own. Like Emptiness Machine, I'm only going to forget about it as time goes on.
First impression: Not very impressed… but not appalled.
Production is high tier, but I felt it was doing too much of the heavy lifting.

I just don’t get why I would be compelled to listen to this. At least Smithereens had pizzazz.
I love Elephants Never Forget but many of the other tracks felt lacking in identity.
I only listened to the whole thing once, so perhaps my opinion will change.
Still better than their last entry which mainly had the singles going for it, and still a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
EDIT: After a few more listens I can say that this album has so much to offer, and many songs will stay in my listening cycles.

Awful mix. Do yourself a favor and listen to the live version. (Edit) mix is not as bad as I thought, but the vocals do not sit well in it.
