Shaped my personality and redefined my music taste FOREVER. ONE OF THE BEST ALBUMS MADE BY HUMANKIND. One hour and 20 minutes of PURE BLISS and transcendental neo disco perfection.
This album made me wanna go back to church. Not on the sense of converting myself back to catholicism, but by making peace with God and understanding that all the hate and mysoginistic archetypes people atribute to God are men creation. Too long to its own good. But it does feature some of the best tracks abel ever sang. Synths are synthing, beats are beating and I LOVE the variety of sounds on the tracklist and the transitions in between songs. I am tho getting a bit tired of Abel's overdramatic writing and all the self pity songs and im afraid he is about to go down the taylor swift route - lazy writing and gigant tracklists meant to farm on streaming numbers
If on Shaday Ofra took her first step into making ethnic synthpop, Desert Wind is where she truly stablished herself as one of the most creative and inventive artists of this era of middle east pop music. My favorite from her 80's albums. Its sharp, its vibrant, its pure joy and happiness bottled inside an album. 100% guaranteed to make you dance and lift your spirits even if your having the worst of days. Madonna was truly happy and in love when she recorded this one. And even though this love story didnt finish on happy terms, it still left its good moments eternalized in True Blue.
