can't believe that boards of canada are dropping shit again. my sweet glorious kings are back at it.
this album has some of the best and most iconic rap songs ever made so no shit I'm putting this really high. the production and mixing is top notch and the bars from every rapper here are great. even nicki minaj had a good verse on monster. just by listening you could just tell that this album took 3 million bucks to make because of how grandiose everything sounds (and the samples). it's not a 100 tho because that ending segment at blame game was too long and stupid and it didn't ... read more
this album has some of the most impressive musicianship that I've ever heard. everyone is just absolutely crazy at what they're doing. especially zach hill. I genuinely think he's one of the best drummers of all time. he's just too good. the guitar and bass work is also insane and the vocals are really good too. this album's like a borderline mathcore mars volta. insanely good shit. every song kinda does sound the same in their own ways but it's chill cuz this ... read more
this was pretty damn good and pretty. the instrumentation is so nice with it being mostly acoustic instruments. the strings in here sound absolutely beautiful. now some of the stuff is more forgettable than others but this album makes up for it with it's fantastic songs like love story and actress. now one thing about this album is that every song to me feels like it builds up to something and when that big crescendo sounding thing happens it just cuts suddenly back to guitar. it's ... read more
their last album was really damn good and this new album from them made me an even bigger fan of them. the overall gimmick of this band is just so cool and the fact that this band can make microtonal math rock sound really groovy and catchy is incredible. I can even see the prog inspirations like from gong or even magma at times. just a cool album made by a cool band for cool people. nothing else to say.
favorite tracks: fabienk, mata zyklek, sarniezz, uztp

the fact that a band like this with weird and groovy microtonal math rock riffs and members with some of the weirdest costumes of all time made it pretty big (at least to where I'm hearing about it often) is nothing short of astounding to me. really cool. the music here is so groovy and remind of some stuff off of king gizzard's flying microtonal banana but on steroids. the guitar and bass work is insane (since it's just one dude on a double neck bass + guitar with a looper) and ... read more
pretty good album. still as hard-hitting as grand opening and closing. lil weaker but still great.
favorite tracks: the donkey-headed adversary of humanity opens the discussion, phthisis, FC: the freedom club, gunday's child, babydoctor
least favorite tracks: the 17-year cicada, what shall we do without us?, [untitled]
the song's butt but the music video is a masterpiece that should be put up in display in the louvre right next to the mona lisa so it's 100.
this album smacks harder than a pimp bro holy shit. this album is insane while also balancing out more mellow and structured moments. it feels like balanced chaos done extremely well. the vocal range on this is insane too. now my only complaints with this album are (a good amount of) phone home and unretrofied. now don't worry I don't think they're bad songs (in fact I think they're pretty damn good songs) but they just feel out of place with the rest of this insane ass ... read more
really good album. catchy as hell riffs that just feel so spacey. the atmosphere this album goes for is so good. love it.
favorite tracks: randy described eternity, I would hurt a fly, stop the show, made-up dreams, velvet waltz, out of site, untrustable/part 2 (about somone else)

definitely as weird as prison jar. the thing about this for me though is that this feels like leftovers from prison jar. it's still pretty good though even though it can be repetitive at times. not bad.
favorite tracks: frogs on a hot sidewalk, seapunk, the hungriest beast
least favorite tracks: cascade effervescence
this was a really weird album. for an avant-prog album it comes with all the zaniness you expect but it just manages to get weirder. it sounds like some demented kids cartoon. really cool shit and reminds me a lot of yezda urfa's stuff.
favorite tracks: well... not chickenshit, geronimo, opportunity bands, truth justice and the american way, equus, traveler waits for no one
least favorite tracks: mangate, the shears
I don't need to listen to all of this but WHERE DID YOU GO is one of the distasteful and atrocious songs I have ever heard and worthy to give anything a 0 regardless of the other songs. especially with that REAL 911 CALL happening before those vocals which you can TELL were put on bandlab autotune. also why is the one and only mr. fantastik on a fucking interlude.
such a beautiful album already made by a goated artist. this pretty much solidifies that he's as good of an artist by himself as much as when he's with stickerbush. just a gorgeous and fun listen throughout. the way this album uses afrobeat and makes it sound unique and as good as other afrobeat music is so cool. just an amazing album that 1000% deserves its must hear.

this layer was so damn good bro. like I pretty much lost my mind walking around the levels in this. so trippy. the music itself is incredible and highly emotional with a bunch of banging moment. the fact that hakita manages to make 80 different time signatures come out in rapid succession and STILL make it sound really good is extremely impressive. now sadly I do think that violence is a slightly better ... read more
very beautiful sounding album. the spanish language is so beautiful but learning it got ruined for me from my 8th grade spanish teacher. other than than this album's HITTIN!
