Went over my head. The songs individually are good and listenable, but I feel something is missing.
The band sets up a ladder at the bottom of emotions mountain and then proceeds to climb only the first half of it, the record feels confined between two tight walls.

The lyrics often feel confusing and out-of-place; in a very "write down thoughts as they come" manner that I don't really like.

There is a difference between writing music for the sole purpose of creating art, and expressing feelings.
Kid A was, in my opinion, written as an art piece, as a statement.
Amnesiac is less so. I think it shows way more emotion than Kid A, sacrificing some artistic value for it.
Amnesiac is somehow more warm and fuzzy feeling, Kid A is cold and laid back (this is also seen on the cover art).
