Juicy J - Live and in Color
83

I actually liked this quite a lot, very cool to hear juicy J over boom bap beats. Logic is a very underrated producer.

Rome Streetz - Trainspotting
82

Really liked this, not too much to say on content here but great rapping and great production = great album

The Koreatown Oddity - Little Dominiques Nosebleed
80

Never heard of this guy but this was very good, I need more listens to truly understand the narrative here, as I’m pretty sure there is one. Wasn’t able to pinpoint it on the first listen. Very cool random beats, lots of jazz elements on here. It’s a little all over the place, but I think that could be the point. His rapping is surprisingly good with pretty decent lyricism as well.

Ovrkast. - While The Iron Is Hot
70

Solid production and decent rapping, not much beyond that.

McKinley Dixon - Magic, Alive!
91

This album is crazy, what a conceptual masterpiece. I’m gonna need quite a bit more time with it. But wow this was such a good easy listen, perfect length. The pacing works so good, and I love all the lyrical references to his previous album a lot. Overall it’s wonderful addition to an already great discography.

Boldy James - Conversational Pieces
78

I wouldn’t say it’s as good as token of appreciation to be honest, I do like it tho. Boldy has been going crazy this year

Boldy James - Magnolia Leflore
80

4/5 on this ep. Boldy has been working hard this year

Duckwrth - All American F⭐️ckboy
77

Pretty good, great summer vibes throughout. Love the rock influence.

D2x - Boy In The Blue Hoodie
80

This guy deserves to be bigger. I love the production on here a lot, along with the rapping.

John Michel - Egotrip
94

Bruh, might need more time with this but I could see it climbing to a 100. What is this production, easily the best produced hip hop album this year. Features work perfect, I love that Yung Senju and KidTokio were on here. I honestly can't find anything necessarily wrong with this album, its beautiful.

Wu-Tang Clan - Black Samson, the Bastard Swordsman
80

Dang Wu tang still got it? This was really cool to listen to. I was very surprised they were able to deliver such a solid album at the age they are. being out of their prime for so long too. Really enjoyed this despite a couple misses.

Saba - Few Good Things
72

Probably his worst album, not a big fan of the layered vocal singing. He does that a lot on this album and I’m just not the biggest fan of it. Album has some great songs though I cannot deny that.

Eli G - blanks
70

A little inconsistent, some songs seem half made. There are still some great songs on this thing though.

Bon Iver - SABLE, fABLE

Such a special album to me, I feel a huge connection to this. For a me, perfect albums most of the time have a personal connection to me, and this is no exception. This album made me feel something, and it makes me feel something every time I play it back. There isn’t another album that came out this year so far that has touched me the way this album has. The beautiful writing, lush production, and soul touching concept just make me feel a way I can’t really explain. Beautiful body ... read more

JAY-Z - Reasonable Doubt
98

Amazing song after amazing song, not much to really complain about here. Peaked too early. Only wasn’t the biggest fan of one song, doesn’t mean it was bad though. Overall such a good album, I can see how much this has influenced rap.

Blu - Forty
84

I love this album so much, Blu delivered.

Drake - Scorpion

First disc was ight, but what happened on disc 2 bruh

Saba & No I.D. - From the Private Collection of Saba and No I.D.
