This album means a lot to me, and I think if a gun was to my head and I was asked what my favorite album ever is, it'd be this. From the first time I heard it, I was in love with it. Theres so much charm in every beat on this album and Madlib's voice as Quasimoto feels like such an important thing in the context of music, and I feel like this album and Madlib's role as Quasimoto is still slept on so much to this day. Everything on here feels like a skateing compilation on a sunny ... read more

When I was made aware of the making of PolyVinylChloride, I was offered an early view of what was made and I could pick a beat out and do something. I did something, and I went on to unofficially officially function as manager through it's creation. So much money and time was poured into PVC, and I got to watch and assist through most of it, and it's been one of the most eye-opening experiences ... read more
Sofi really, really let some kind of spirit out of the deepest parts of their technique. Getting some insider info about the making of 'futurepast' and its conception in practicslly a day makes me feel even more floored at the unwavering skill and talent that flows throughout all twenty-eight minutes of the album. I hope we all get to see her in a big studio one day, it'd be a gift. Outstanding.
Can't believe I'm so late to this, it's so grand and beautiful! Ambience made well, and I feel so hypnotized. Each small sample that comes across the field every once in a while between tracks adds a small hint of personality to their respective songs (not to say pikpik is lacking it to begin with) and I find myself lost inside the soundscapes, as if I'm inbetween an endless field or a rusty room. You might transcend on first listen, give it a shot. You're soul might ... read more
One of my favorite albums of all time and an A level grade project for Cloud Rap. Production is timeless while being a product of it's time, if that makes sense. Every theme of distraction, every drug mention, every sample you recognize and masterclasses of chaos like Bakkup make this album like a spiral spinning on the floor of the dankest smelling basement ever, and you just can't get off of it for the life of you. Absolutely disorienting in the best way possible, AHHHHHHH FINN AND ... read more
Death always grabs you right by the neck out of nowhere. By The Time I Get To Phoenix is one of the most depressing and spine chilling albums ever. made. Releasing after the death of group member Stepa J. Groggs, the Injury Reserve boys with Ritchie on the frontlines have to take a much, much different turn. From the battle rap flow on the opening track Outside, setting the tone and tension through the album where Ritchie almost speaks directly to the listener in his verse to convey his anger ... read more
