Did your friends and family have an influence when it comes to the music u listen to now or is all the music u like now the type of music u explored on your own?

I actually envy those that can be fixated to a specific genre cuz they get to have the full experience with the genre, all the highs and lows and even the left turns the genre makes, I personally can't do it I don't have the patience for it, the moment I get something I really really like out of the genre then I'm out to the next genre.

I guess for me it's a result of the influences around me affecting the music I listen to, such as me being very fond of 2000's commercial music since my childhood was in that era. There were actually many influences such as fifa music affecting it like fifa 07 to fifa 14, my mother with soul and gospel my father with jazz, my brother's obsession with Pop music, my other brother's obsession with House Music and Hip-Hop and my sister's obsession with K-Pop, I had a friend that loved Rock music and my cousins loved R&B and Trap so I guess I explored more music further since I felt like I didn't have an identity when it came to music genre I'm into and even to this day in my 20s I'm still all over the place with the genre thing but I'm more aware of what I like and don't like when it comes to albums.

Frank Zappa and Joy Division at 8? That's actually surprising and kwl, usually kids in that age range back then would be listening to those artists by the time their 16 or older.

What made u start looking for different styles of music?

Supp! I'm doing a challenge at the moment, the "out of my comfort-zone challenge". This is a challenge where I need to listen projects, I normally wouldn't listen too. After some listen I need to state my opinions in a review. If you would suggest an album to me, it would be great! As long as they aren't metal, hip hop or rap! (experimental/abstract hip hop, weird rap is allowed though)
