Ninajirachi - I Love My Computer
94

DUDE I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY COMPUTER!!!!!!

Tbh this album is kind of made for me and people like me. I've been online for better or for worse since I was about eleven years old, and while I wouldn't recommend that I would be lying if I said that hasn't effected me as a person. I've just always had technology in my life and have always used that access to the internet and technology to express myself so this album more than any other is so so relatable. It also just bangs.

Joey Valence & Brae - HYPERYOUTH
88

This album on my first listen really reminded me of Brat but for a different audience, however I have since realized that that perspective was not necessarily the correct one to hold. This album has different things to offer and comparison will be the death of art(that's a different subject though).

To me HYPERYOUTH lives in a cycle, a cycle of addressing this anxiety of growing up and everything changing around you but then we ignore this anxiety and go party, then it repeats. To me ... read more

Paris Texas - They Left Me with the Sword
76

It just goes so incredibly hard.

Olēka - Sunshine When It Rains / See The World
88

Very solid set of singles here, and her vocals are just so so so good. Looking forward to a full project! :)

Frost Children - SISTER
70

The first half of this album is some of the best music they’ve ever made, but then it kinda falls off for me besides a few highlights. Still a very solid showing and Falling is probably my favorite Frost Children song!

Geese - Getting Killed
97

It’s a classic dude, I knew they had it in them after listening to 3D and especially 4D country, but wow…. The musicianship of this album is astonishing, and some of the lyrics are so just mm. Thank you to this band for making this music. Wow.

Dijon - Baby
87

Awesome album that really captures so many different experiences and feelings in a way that can only be described as kaleidoscopic. It’s like music as a collage.

Caroline Polachek - Pang
86

This is like dark pop that sounds like a beautiful concrete warehouse in the best way possible, I love you Caroline Polachek!

JID - God Does Like Ugly
70

Maybe I’m crazy, maybe I don’t like JID as much as I once did but this isn’t even close to the peaks of Forever Story. Still good! But like a super mixed bag, and it feels like JID is rapping with a concept in mind but like where is it? Idk it just isn’t as for me as Forever Story was.

Earl Sweatshirt - Live Laugh Love
84

This is like the happy sequel to Some Rap Songs, I like it a lot!

Hayley Williams - EGO
74

A solid alt pop rock album(?), it’s a little lengthy at 17 songs but a lot of them are quite good I find some of them getting a little boring from a production standpoint, but her writing is pretty solid on all of them. Anyways yeah it’s good!

Injury Reserve - By the Time I Get to Phoenix
95

I don’t really have words for this, it’s something special that everyone should experience especially within the context it was made.

Alex G - Headlights
75

Another solid showing from one of the most consistent artists in the indie scene!

Quadeca - Vanisher, Horizon Scraper
98

I’ll preface this by saying this was my most anticipated album this year so I’m not surprised by how highly rated it is for me, however I have a lot more to say about this project than I thought I would.

It’s no surprise to anyone that knows me that I LOVED the singles for this project I literally believe “FORGONE” is a perfect track, but this album in full context blew me away. Instantly when the opening “NO QUESTIONS ASKED” plays you are transported ... read more

Black Sabbath - Paranoid
80

RIP Ozzy Osbourne, you could really feel on a lot of these songs he had something to say.

Clipse - Let God Sort Em Out
94

This is like a perfect egotistic rap album and is the best Clipse project I have heard. Genuinely the best selection is very fun to me and the bars are unmatched, don’t even get me started on how good the delivery is.

TL;DR, you don’t wanna fuck with Clipse and they don’t fuck with you.

Tyler, The Creator - DON'T TAP THE GLASS
77

This album is pretty good and pretty fun! Tyler is doin some weird and freaky stuff here but it goes well, my main gripes are that some of the tracks feel a little unfinished. However, it is overall very solid and has a very infectious energy.

Geese - 4D Country
93

OKAY TAKE WHAT I SAID ON MY 3D COUNTRY REVIEW AND FLIP IT AROUND, THIS IS THE BAND AT THE PEAK OF THEIR POWERS, I LOVE GEESE THE BAND!!!!!!

Geese - 3D Country
80

This album is super solid and fun, BUT I feel like they still have a lot left in the tank left to give that I want to hear, I don’t believe this is their peak. Also probably one of the most exciting rock bands right now.

Justin Bieber - SWAG
61

Y’all don’t even like pop or R&B music‼️‼️‼️

This album is just pretty chill and Justin’s vocals are good, hearing him get a little more soulful and a little less pop is a nice change of pace that I think fits him better. The production has some interesting moments especially for an artist the size of Justin fucking Bieber.

The main issues here are the length of the tracklist and lyrics. Lyrically not much is going on here but I also don’t think ... read more
